The season is based on the 2007 book Einstein: His Life and Universe by Walter Isaacson.

On April 19, 2017, National Geographic renewed the series for a second season, while also announcing that its subject will be revealed during the finale of the first season.

I am currently bingeing on this. Just started today, it looks very well done. And, such an interesting subject. To follow Einstein ' s life from a young student at University who doesn't accept the current teachings & is often at odds with his professors. Also, his personal life. I'm only on S01/E02, but it is very captivating, will be bingeing thru the 1st season. Having Geoffrey Rush playing the elder Einstein is a treat...:emoji_purple_heart:
This wrapped up yesterday, Tues., 20, 2017, with a 2 hour finale. It is so good, I did not want it to end. All the acting is top notch, it did follow his life from a young man to the end of his life. Both his professional & personal life was chronicled. It was never boring or difficult to follow. It gave an insight to one (if not) the most brilliant minds we will ever know. If you get the chance to see this excellent series, don't miss it.
It is well worth the time...:emoji_purple_heart::emoji_purple_heart::emoji_purple_heart:
