Review Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007)

Your thoughts on this movie....

The Fantastic Four learn that they aren't the only super-powered beings in the universe when they square off against the powerful Silver Surfer and the planet-eating Galactus.

A goofy romp that was fun for what it was but never much more than that.

A reboot was needed; shame it stank slightly.

Let's hope they give it to Marvel.

It had Silver Surfer in it. That's all I can say positive about this one.

More of the same as the original really. Undemanding, juvenile with some good visual effects. Stan Lee's cameo (trying to convince the doorman he's Stan Lee!) is the most memorable thing about it!

I was disappointed by Galactus. A vague cloud, if I remember rightly?

Yes, I agree that they should give it to Marvel.

Unfortunately, they are still currently insisting that they will reboot again in some way, rather than hand it to Marvel.

The gazillions of dollars that Homecoming will make might compel them to reconsider.

The same illustrator later - after the film - did a "personal illustration" of Galactus and the Surfer....

Why he waited till after the film to do this one is anyone's guess......
