Has anyone seen this series? I've only watched the first episode so far having followed Michael Weatherly from NCIS. I enjoyed the first episode but can see that it could get quite repetitive as a concept. Does anyone have an opinion to share?

I watch it. You're right, it does follow the same game plan every week, but the "crime" is different.
I like Weatherly and I think this character gives him the chance to do some actual acting. He was buried in NCIS with no place to go. I like it, it gives the criminal show a different view point instead of the usual cop on the street.

I agree. To be honest I was a little surprised that he didn't leave when Cote de Pablo left. It was clear by that point that the writers had no interest in developing any of the characters any further. DiNozzo was very much a flanderised version of himself by the time he finished. I guess he was just waiting for the right opportunity to come along.

I've watched it all and have come to the realization that if you're going to do what is basically an ensemble cast procedural, you need more stories that give you some real insight into all the characters. Bull just isn't getting that done for me. So although I too am a huge fan of MW, I just can't work up any real enthusiasm for the show.

We watch it because the husband and my Mom both like it a lot and I don't dislike it enough to really care one way or the other if it's on.

Did anyone watch tonight's 5/23 episode? It was the season finale & the best one of the season.
I think the writing has improved for the last 3-4 episodes. Looking forward to the next season...

Missed it but I have thought that Eliza Dushku was a smart addition to the show and hope they keep her! The two of them have great chemistry and she's a great actress! Loved how she "negotiated" their "deal"!

:emoji_kiss::emoji_dancer: And for powerful women everywhere... (wow, does this seem oxymoronic!) DBs! :emoji_dancers::emoji_dancers::emoji_dancers::emoji_dancers::emoji_dancers::emoji_dancers::emoji_dancers::emoji_dancers::emoji_dancers::emoji_dancers:

Haven't watched it for a while but I've got a ton of episodes backed up on the DVR. But if Eliza Dushku is joining (even if it's just for a single episode) then it's definitely time for me to catch up.

She's got at least 3 eps. maybe 4 at the end of the season! She ramped it up and spiced it up!

The finale, which was without question, the best show of the season; left room for her to return on a regular basis next season.

Someone mentioned they thought Cote DePablo was going to make some appearances on next seasons shows. I'm hoping she doesn't. I don't want to see Bull try to recreate the "Tony & Ziva" show even one little bit. His chemistry with ED is fantastic and they'd be crazy not to take advantage of that by bringing back something that has been over and done with for years.

The finale was, strangely, almost a "film noir" kind of episode only instead of B & W it was shot in the brightly lit and overwhelming images of Miami. Somehow, they managed to keep the brightness of that city in the background even when it was right in your face. But the story was what was really outstanding. It had the femme fatale (ED), the "secret plan" that was for her benefit but had to be played out without her knowledge to succeed and a "twist" on the bad guys that was flat-out fantastic!

The ending paid homage to the music of Frank Sinatra (which was how it started) and had the two of them in the lobby saying both "hello" and "goodbye" at the same time with her turning to leave, bag in hand, and him sitting on the floor of the lobby knowing that it was in no way going to be the last they saw of each other. There was no other member of his team present... just the two of them......
It was a "this is going to be the beginning of a beautiful relationship" moment on TV like no other I've seen. I really can't wait until next season; which is the last possible thing I ever expected to say about that show!

This is what I told you in my post. Last 3-4 episodes were better than the whole season.

Things usually do get more interesting when there's good chemistry introduced between two strong characters.
I too am looking forward to next season...:emoji_purple_heart::emoji_purple_heart::emoji_purple_heart:

Oops..... sorry! And I was kinda in a back and forth with Gavin who hadn't seen as much as I had. I also didn't realize that that was the finale until long after it had aired.

One of the drawbacks of streaming.....

Finally managed to finish the final three episodes and you're right. Eliza Dushku was fantastic. Her and Michael Weatherly have great chemistry. Definitely planning on watching season 2. I got the impression from the way they set up the finale that Eliza will be back, maybe not as a regular but definitely as a recurring character.
