Can't seem to find a TV comedy section (do we even have one?) so putting this here though it actually started in 2009. Anyway. This show is one the greatest things television has produced in decades and more people should know about it. Any other fans out there? favourite moments/characters/...

    Fun Eurovision

Anyone watching this annual celebration of all things cheese flavoured? Me and the woman will be occasionally flicking over but the fun apart is when they do the points. If they hated us before Brexit, God knows what they'll think post Brexit (put your money on nil points). Favourites: Italy...

    Fun Song Chain

A poster comes up with a song title like... I will always love you - Dolly Parton. The next poster posts a song with a word in common with that song... Always on my mind - Elvis Presley. The next poster comes up with a song title using any word from that song (but not the same word)... My...

I'm currently reading The Sun Also Rises. My first foray into Hemmingway. Enjoying it.

Review The Works of Fyodor Dostoevski

Crime and Punishment really turned me on to reading. I'd never read anything that sucked me in quite so quickly and had me feeling as anxious as Raskolnikov. I could almost smell the sweat on him. I then went on to read The Idiot which I enjoyed but it's been so long since I read it and then...

Fun Have The Last Two Decades Lacked Character?

I was thinking about Back to the Future and how when the film came out, the 50's seemed like such a long time ago (the 30 year gap felt enormous) but then on the 30th anniversary (2015) the same gap of 30 years didn't feel like it was all that huge at all. The cars we drive, the clothes we...

    Review Farscape (1999)

Can't believe there isn't a thread for this show yet. Such an underrated programme. At first glance, the puppets make you think it's a bit hammy but the show is really dark and explores a lot complex and interesting stuff. Plus, one of the greatest TV villains too.

    Review The Inbetweeners

Probably the best British sitcom since Peep Show and Partridge. The films were great too (especially the first one).

    Review Theresa May

Theresa May Calls Snap Election For the 8th June. This will essentially be seen as a second Brexit referendum. Can't see anything but a May landslide. BBC Guardian

    Review Extras

Everyone wanted to see what Gervais would do after The Office. He followed it with Extras. Not as good but still a solid effort in my opinion. The English C list celebrity episodes were generally a lot better than the ones with big Hollywood stars (the Les Dennis one in particular). Bloopers.

    Review The Office

Ground breaking, game changer. Made stars of Gervais, Freeman and Crook etc. Haven't seem the American version but doubt I need to. This was perfection. Two series and a Christmas special. A bit of shame that Gervais felt the need to go back to it with the recent film (only mildly funny)...

    Review Blackadder

Always a favourite of mine. First series was okay but it was when they changed the character into the self-centred, Machiavellian misanthrope that the show really took off. Series 2 and 4 are great but 3 is probably my favourite. Then there were the specials (civil war, Victorian, time travel)...

Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon play exaggerated versions of themselves travelling through the Lake District in England and reviewing restaurants.

    Review The Trip to Spain

Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon play exaggerated versions of themselves travelling through Spain and reviewing restaurants. Good but not as good as the first two in my opinion.

    Fun Horse Racing

I know nothing about horse racing but always try to put a few quid on the occasional national runner. Definitely Red is my best odds. The rest are total outsiders I picked purely for their names.

    Review The Drumhead

The one where Admiral Satie begins a McCarthy-like with hunt and Picard destroys her. This was a lot of fun to watch and did a great job of increasing the sense of paranoia and tension. Jean Simmons was superb.
